Hello and Welcome to the Heineberg Senior and Community Center. Here’s a bit of information about the Center.
The Center is open Monday through Thursday from 9am to 3pm. The Center is completely handicapped accessible. Wheelchair users are welcome.
We provide programs and services to people 50 years of age and older. There are no dues and most programs are free of charge. There is a suggested annual donation of $10 per participant to defray the cost of operationing the center.
We do not provide transportation. However, SSTA is a transportation service that older adults can use. The phone number is 802-878-1527
A monthly calendar, which provides information on our many programs, is available at the Information Center bulletin board and at this website. The menus for the month are on the back of the calendar and on the website.
We provide a hot, 3 course meal at 11:45am Monday through Thursday. There is a suggested donation of $3.00 per meal. For guests under 60 years of age, the cost of the meal is $3.75. Donations are made at the Receptionist Desk. You may purchase a meal ticket for ten lunch punches at the Desk.
A reservation is required to attend lunch at the Center. Please call for your reservation by 12:30 the previous day. For a meal on Monday, you need to call by 12:30 on Thursday.
If you have a lunch reservation, and for some reason you will not be able to join us, please call to cancel your reservation. We will try to sell your lunch to someone else. You are ultimately responsible for the lunch donation if we cannot find a replacement. The Board of Directors oversees Center policies. You are welcome to attend any Committee Meetings or Board Meetings. A list of meeting times is listed on the Bulletin Boardand the website calendar. We encourage members to be involved by volunteering or joining a committee. This Center belongs to us!
If you have any questions, feel free to ask. We’re all glad to help! Gail Moreau, Executive Director @ 802-863-3982
